  23. I'm working a project that will interface the IR port on the HP48 series
  24. calculators to the serial port on a PC.  Could anyone tell me the what
  25. the start character or string to initiate a kermit transfer is and the
  26. character or string to stop the transfer?  Also I would like to know the
  27. general format of a Kermit packet and what information is sent before
  28. the actual data is transfered (if there is any).  Is there a Kermit FAQ
  29. available with this kink of information, and where could I access it?
